View of Montalbert slopes pre 2015-16 season (scroll down)

Montalbert is at 1350 metres and therefore not much of a problem for anyone affected by altitude with snow cannons all the way down to the village. There is a FREE drag lift on a blue run (with snow cannons) and a 10 man Gondola (NEW for 2015-2016 season) which now takes approx 7 mins to take you the top (of the Montalbert section). La Plagne Montalbert is linked to La Plagne (& Paradiski) via this lift and La Roche 6 man chair lift.

There are plenty of restaurants and bars, a supermarket, a deli, a baker et al!  The night club (The White Bear) also opens for Happy Hour around 4.30 and serves bar snacks. Several bars stay open till late, although this is very much a family resort. Various take-aways are also available (see our Restaurant/Bar/Pub guide for more info).

During the popular weeks Maison Montalbert (the tourist centre) puts on nightly entertainment both on and off the piste with free Vin Chaud & hot chocolate and torchlight decent down the mountain usually on Tuesdays. Some months they allow the children &/or adults to do their own torch light decent too, with special torches. Snow shoe walks, snake-gliss (a long 'snake like' sledge) FREE evening sledging/gliding, Airboarding, Freestyle Airbag jumps, husky dog sleigh rides, dinner or nights in an igloo, skidooing and Olympic bobsleigh - its all available.

There are more than 4 ski rental shops in the village. Most also provide free ski locker service. They all speak English & you can also 'try before you buy' if you are thinking of buying your own skis (see more on our Ski Hire page).

ESF Ski school offer classes for all levels, all ages and different languages and snowboarding.

Walkers can take the 1st (bottom) lift up and it will bring you down too if you'd like.
